Starting from the first grade, students in EFIS have 3 hours of English and 3 hours of Macedonian/Albanian. During this period, students have more systematic approach to the studied language. They learn to make longer sentences, the vocabulary is enriched… In addition, one of the three hours of English is used to study other school subject according to the program of the Ministry of Education of France, i.e. Content and Language Integrated Learning. For example, students study science and technology in English. This specificity means that our students continue to develop their level of English and connect it to what is taught at school. The objectives of these science and technology classes are those of the French Ministry of Education but taught in English. Thus, introduction to writing is done gradually so that our students can express themselves well in French, English and Macedonian/Albanian.
